We are working on our newest marketing tool – this website! It’s been a long time coming, but it’s finally off the ground. Parts of the website are still under construction, so please be patient with us as we get some of the bugs worked out and all the content finished. We’ve made it easier for our many customers to buy direct from the farm by ordering on-line. If you have any questions or need help, contact us.
Lots of folks have been asking us, and yes, the 2017 CSA Shares for spring, summer, and fall are now available for purchase. So, check out what we are growing under the CSA Shares button and sign up. We no longer offer CSA shares in the Manhattan or Topeka areas, although we do have monthly deliveries of eggs and other customer orders in those areas. There are weekly CSA share deliveries in Emporia, Council Grove, and Strong City, so you must be able to pick up either at the farm or in one of these areas to participate in the CSA share programs. You do NOT have to be a CSA shareholder to purchase food or farm products.
Working shares are available again this season if you would like to pursue this option. Volunteering your time on the farm works out to provide you and your family with some real benefits, including the fruit of your labors. Ask us about working share options.
What’s new on the farm are brand new baby lambs! These little, cute, wooly balls of energy are enjoying all the recent nice weather. You should plan a trip to the farm soon, bring the kids (or grand kids) and the camera, and see what all the fuss is about!
Seed orders are all done, seeds are sorted and organized, and new seedlings are up and going under grow lights. Very soon it will be time to plant potatoes and onions.
There are pre-season specials right now. We have fresh spinach available in limited quantities, and more is coming on! The laying hens have hit the spring flush, so there is an abundance of farm fresh, pastured eggs available.
